Happy 1st Rawson!

The last year went by way too fast. I keep thinking of the song by Taylor Swift, "Never Grow Up" and it makes me sad how quickly this past year has gone by. We are so blessed to have this active little man around and are so glad he's ours.

RAWSON MARC RUGGLES

I can't believe a year has flown by already! He is the best baby and we are all so obsessed.

Here are a few things about our man:

• He walks! He took his first step a week shy of 11 months and is full on walking. After counting to 27 steps last week, Marc told me I should stop counting.
• As of 4 days ago he has 8 teeth!!! 2 popped through on the bottom this past week and are barely poking through. Cosette had 0 on her first birthday.
• He has a temper! It usually shows its stinky little self when I take away food, or sometimes when he wakes up (one of the few things he gets from his momma--he's sometimes grumpy in the mornings)
• He gives the BEST kisses and has for at least 3 months. When I or anyone else asks for kisses he obediently leans and smooches. This past week he gave me a closed mouth kiss and even made a smacking noise. His first kiss was his auntie Kaisa
• He can make fishy lips and it is so cute
• He is obsessed with bubbles and from watching Mom has learned how to blow.
• He gets into everything and climbs on stools, fireplaces, cousins, etc. A couple months back I put him in his high chair (and did not buckle him in... I NEVER buckled Cos) and a second later he is sitting on the kitchen table just hanging out with his sister. Let's just say he is always buckled now.
• He loves to eat!
• He is a tank. He has a huge head and is dense.
• He loves to snuggle and is so cuddly.
• He has the best eyelashes I have ever seen. I wish I could say they are mine, but they are definitely longer and curlier.
• He loves his sister and she always can get him giggling.
• Since he was tiny he was always really ticklish and giggly. Rocia told me when he was tiny that he was one of the easiest babies to get to laugh. Still the same
• He loves exploring outside and gets ticked when he isn't allowed outside with the big kids. He is always putting rocks, leaves and dirt in his mouth and does it over and over again.
• He's a momma's boy, but is also super obsessed with Dad and all of the tricks he does with Dad.
• He is daring (at least compared to his Sister). He is a pro at the 'Thomson flare' which is impressive because of his massive head size, he loves to be thrown and flipped around by his Dad.
• He is OBSESSED with water and is the biggest pain to bathe because he is standing up, slamming down, swallowing water, turning the faucet on, grabbing shampoo all the time. I am excited to swim with him this summer.
• He is also the biggest pain to dress and change. He squirms everywhere and is always trying to crawl away.
• He has learned the word 'no'. (probably because he hears it often) and shakes his head back and forth.
• He sometimes signs all done and more.
• He loves balls and cars, but is also content putting all of Cosette's toys in his mouth
• He loves having dance parties with Cosette and is quite good at shaking what his momma gave him.
• He's a great sleeper and has been since 5 weeks

We are all obsessed with our little Bubba, Bubs, Raws (we prounounce it Ross), brother, little man, Chubs, Chugger and Cosette's favorite: Chuggar Muffin Bubba Love.
