magical

In May we went to Disneyland. It was the first time I'd been back since I was 8, and it was Cosette and Rawson's first visit. It was a crazy 2 days, and a heavenly week in Carlsbad, San Diego and Anaheim.
WARNING: lots and lots of pictures and stories you probably don't care to read.

The night before I gave Cosette a backpack from the princesses. It was a cheap pink backpack with princess stuff in it. She put all of her treasures we bought or pretended to buy in the park and had some stickers and what not to play with in line.

Cosette was in pure heaven on several of the rides. She loved the teacups, dumbo ride, the carousel, the ferris wheel, it's a small world, etc.

she was really in heaven meeting the princesses. they are so magical in person and are so hilarious to watch. everything they do is completely in character and they act all the way to their fingertips.

Cosette is a sucker for all things sweet, just like her Dad. We picked up some cotton candy and told her it was for her. We put it away after a couple of chunks to save for later and brought it out an hour or 2 later and it was WAY smaller (due to Dad snitching some). Cosette remarked, "who ate this?" with the biggest scowl and mean face I have ever seen, and I told her it got squished not knowing her Dad had eaten a ton. Needless to say, she was not happy.

Cosette did not want to stand next to Jasmine because she was TERRIFIED of Aladdin. She was not a fan of the men or any villains the whole 2 days.

Rapunzel was our favorite princess at the park. She spent a few minutes with Cosette and explained how she had long blonde hair again and was so so cute. Cos asked where Flynn and Maximus were and Cosette was in heaven.

Rawson was kind of crazy day one. He had a blow-out, did not nap well and we didn't really know what to expect, and probably expected too much from our little curios, active 1 year old. Day 2 was much better.

DAY 2
We started off the morning by going to Ariel's Grotto for breakfast. If you have princess obsessed girls, I highly recommend this.
The princesses came to our table while we ate and chatted and took pictures with us.

The food was AWESOME, but Cosette ate barely anything because she was so excited to meet and talk with the princesses.
Rawson was totally smitten with Belle and would not stop flirting with her.

Rawson was able to go on SO many rides which totally surprised me.

The scary/really fun ferris-wheel. It rocked like crazy and Cosette was giggly and laughing so hard.

Cosette rode on her first 'big roller-coaster'. She rode the matterhorn with Dad. Marc told her it was like a super fast train and their was a monster on it, but he shot it with his gun and she was fine. She loved it!
the parade.
after the parade we ran to the car, regrouped, put the kids jammies on and came back to disneyland for a couple of rides and pictures.
matterhorn with dad
then we went to ca adventure for the light and water show.
the last ride of the trip was king triton's carousel.
right after this blurry picture rawson took his hat and chucked it into the water.

It was an awesome 2 days and Cosette had the most magical time of her life.
Marc told me on the trip that I missed me calling in life: to be a princess at Disneyland. I had so much fun talking to all the little girls in line waiting to see the princesses. I met this little deaf girl from Sweden named Freya and fell in love with her. Now I love the name Freya and I don't know if it's because the little girl was so cute or if it's because I really like the name.

Maybe I'll get to blogging the rest of the trip. It was so chill and relaxing and so fun getting to spend some time with our little family.

YAY!! I'm so glad you put pictures up, because I would've never seen them. I LOVE the picture of you looking at Cosette so proud while she's talking to a princess....can't remember which one...You DEFINITELY missed your calling in life as a Disney Princess. I also love the picture of Cose waving (looking like Linda) on the ride with Marc. SO CLASSIC.

How FUN Raquel! I am so jealous. I love everything Disney. I love the name Freya too! I mean, it's kind of close to my daughter's name, so obviously. Wish we could have had more QT at the reunion. Your one-liners on the couch the other night (with all the girls) were cracking me up. Love you, you're the best.

oh my gosh i was grinning ear to ear looking at these pictures. you can tell cosette is in heaven! it looks like the perfect age to bring a little princess obsessed girl to disneyland…you guys weren't messing around with meeting the princesses! it looks like you met all of them. i'm kind of scared of that aladdin too, so i don't blame cosette. my favorite picture is her on your shoulders. so so cute. i'm jealous and can't wait until lucy is old enough to replicate this trip!
